Baked Sweet Potato chips are so simple to make with just 4 ingredients. They are super crunchy and heart healthy,a delicious alternative to deep fried snacks.Slice the sweet potatoes with a mandolin or a sharp knife, cut them as evenly as possible.Thinner slices yield crispy chips while thicker ones makes the chips tender at the center.
You can soak the potato slices in water for 30 mins.Alternatively you can wash them in water for 4-5 times. This helps to remove the starch and make them more crispy.Pat dry completely before baking.Toss the sweet potato slice in olive oil, sprinkle with salt and your favorite seasonings .I have used freshly ground dried red chili flakes for the combination of sweet potatoes with chili flakes is do delicious. You can also sprinkle some Italian herbs for kids may find it spicy with chili flakes.Bake until crisp and enjoy the guilt free chips while crisp and warm.
