Crackers are flat biscuits with savoury and salty flavours.Here’s a simple salted golden brown crackers made with 3 healthy ingredients wheat,olive oil and sesame seeds.These crackers are very crispy with the nutty ,crunchy sesame seeds that give such nice flavour to the crackers.They are unbelievably easy to make and bake in minutes.In less than half an hour you can make a batch of delicious biscuits.
Crackers can be eaten with cheese ,dips,jam,butter and peanut butter.To make them more healthy you can sandwich them with some meat or veggies.Making biscuits at home are so easy ,they are one bowl wonders ready in a snap!
PREPARATION TIME : 5 MINS
BAKING TIME :180 Degree C, 15-18 MINS
INGREDIENTS:
1 & 1/4 cup wheat flour
1/2 cup sesame seeds
4 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp salt
Water as required (1/4 cup)
METHOD
In a large mixing bowl add wheat,salt and mix well.
Add the sesame seeds.
Add olive oil,water and mix well to form a soft dough.Let dough rest for 30 mins ,cover it with a towel to prevent from drying out.
Roll out dough thinly and evenly,add flour if the dough is sticky.Prick the dough all over with a fork to release trapped air and cut using cookie cutters.
Preheat oven to 180 Degree C and bake for 15-18 mins* or until edges are light golden brown.Let the cookie cool until firm enough.
Cool completely. Store in cookie tins. ENJOY!
TAKE CARE TIPS
Recipe yield vary on how thick you roll the cookies and how large or small your cutters are.
Remove the cookie when they turn mild brown at the sides else they will become very crispy.
There is no need to add any baking powder or soda for this recipe.
