ALOO PARATHA is a healthy and tasty breakfast made with wheat and vegetables of our choice.We can use carrots,peas,broccoli,panner ,channa and lots more.Aloo means potato,I Am gonna make these parathas using potatoes following simple steps with pictures
INGREDIENTS (FOR DOUGH)
1 cup wheat flour
2 tsp butter or oil
Salt to taste
Water as required
Wheat flour for dusting
INGREDIENTS (FOR STUFFING)
2 medium sized potatoes
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp chilli powder
Coriander leaves finely chopped (fistful)
Salt to taste
METHOD
Take a bowl ,mix wheat flour,butter or oil,salt,water together and make a soft smooth dough without any lumps.Keep it aside for half an hour.
Pressure cook the potatoes,peel the skin and mash it well without any lumps.To this add garam masala powder,chili powder,coriander leaves and mix well.
Divide the dough and make balls of size 3 inches.Dust some flour and roll out the dough to small circles.Take a small part of the stuffing and place in the center of the dough.Spread them evenly using your hands .
Fold the dough to form a triangle.Press it gently to flatten it.Dust your hands and gently tap the dough so that the stuffing spread evenly inside.
Heat oil in a tawa and place the rolled out stuffed paratha.Add little oil and cook both sides in simmer flame,so that they are cooked evenly.
Remove from flame,serve them hot with onion raitha and raw vegetables like cucumber,tomato and onions.
